Swing the fly and deepen the connection. The Redington Classic Spey Reel combines traditional aesthetics with modern materials and performance. Its mid-arbor, wide-spool design and unmistakable click are purpose-built for swinging flies for trout, steelhead, and salmon.

The Classic Spey is offered in three sizes:

• 3/4/5: 3.75-inch diameter for Trout Spey rods

• 5/6/7: 4-inch diameter for switch and Spey rods

• 7/8/9: 4.25-inch diameter for Spey rods

Each size features a powerful, adjustable triple-pawl drag system with enough resistance to handle aggressive anadromous fish and enough sound to announce every run. A generously sized palming rim provides additional control when fighting larger fish.

Machined from durable 6061-T6 aluminum, the classically ported reel is thoughtfully weighted to balance two-handed rods. Its wide-spool, mid-arbor design delivers fast line pickup, while the ported arbor allows backing to dry quickly after a day on the water.
