Beaver underfur is fine and tightly textured, so it builds smooth, slender bodies without looking “ropey,” and it helps dry flies stay riding high longer—especially on small mayflies, caddis, and midges.

It’s easy to control at the vise: use a sparse pinch for skinny bodies, or add a touch more for a slightly fuzzy, buggy silhouette. If you want extra durability or a bit more texture, it also spins nicely in a dubbing loop.
